Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Announces Contract-Based Lecturer & Teacher Positions in Educational Institutes

The Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board has invited applications for the engagement of Lecturers and Teachers on an Academic Arrangement Basis for the 2025 session in various Waqf Educational Institutes across the region.
Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria
The available positions are for multiple subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Information Practice, Mathematics, Environmental Science, English, Urdu, and Social Science.
- Lecturers require a Post-Graduation in the relevant subject.
- Teachers require a Graduation in the relevant subject.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated based on their academic qualifications, experience, and performance in an interview/demonstration.
- Lecturers: Selection is based on a 100-point system considering Master’s Degree (60 points), B.Ed. & M.Ed. (10 points), M.Phil/Ph.D. (up to 5 points), experience (5 points), and an interview (20 points).
- Teachers: Selection follows a 50-point system, considering Graduation (50 points), Master’s Degree (10 points), B.Ed. & M.Ed. (10 points), M.Phil/Ph.D. (up to 5 points), experience (5 points), and an interview (20 points).
Salary & Benefits
- Lecturers: Rs. 12,000/- per month
- Teachers: Rs. 9,000/- per month
Application Process
Interested candidates must submit their applications to the concerned Principals of the respective Waqf Educational Institutes by 27th February 2025 during office hours. Applicants must carry all required qualification and identity documents.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Central Waqf Office in Sonwar, Srinagar (near Burn-Hall School), with the date and time to be communicated separately.
